[The book] will certainly show what our ancestors would be thinking if they were alive today. People have often speculated about this. Would they approve of modern society, they ask, would they marvel at present-day achievements? And of course this misses a fundamental point. What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?"

I had a dream about Harry Potter tonight (or today, as the case might be), and when I woke up I was totally confused for a good while as to whether those where actually things that happened in the books, or if I was just making things up. I think I'll tell you all the dream, simply because I don't have anything better to be doing with my time.

It started with some sort of drawing class. This might be because last tuesday, we webdesigners swapped teachers with the artist/painters class - they got to learn about taking pictures of their works and creating online galleries of them, and we got to learn about colour theory and also paint (I painted a woman in a kimono, though that's unrelated). Anyway, in this drawing class, I was drawing a picture of Harry screaming, for some reason, and then for some reason the picture came alive, and Harry rose through the table... all corporeal still, which was probably why he was screaming (as in, he acted - but didn't look like - a ghost)... uhm.

Anyway, then he was sort of being pulled to a room somewhere in Hogwarts, and I was following, but after a while I realised I had taken his place and now was Harry. Or perhaps Harry was me. Whatever. Anyway, in the room was lots of magic spells (look, don't ask me how I knew - I just did. You could feel it was there)... probably ones that was supposed to set of some sort of alarm when someone entered. Yeah. But they didn't when I got in, which was probably good.

So, there was this display case in there, with a crown and two differently shaped sceptres, if I recall correctly. Or perhaps 'twas only one sceptre and some other symbol of power... like a golden apple. Or a key. Whatever there was, the voices whispering in the room - I think it was the crown talking to me, but there might've been something else, I guess - told me I should open and take them, which I did. But I left the actual crown. I got the impression around then that this should really have set the alarms off, but it didn't. I think I was protected by something, though what, I don't know. Possibly the magic talking crown. Uhm.

Then I heard Dumbledore saying (though I knew he wasn't around, it was just a sort of flash-backy feel to it) that these things were important, but that if they disappeared at the start of the year, we didn't have to worry as much as if they disappeared later on, because if they disappeared later, that was a sign that the Dark Powers were getting in place to make their final move, but if earlier it was just... something else. Dun dun dun. So maybe it was the spirit of Dumbledore that had made me take those things. Oh well.

Snape and McGonagall - I guess he wasn't evil in my dreams - were talking about it, and worrying, though. I guess they applied logic to the situation and thought the Dark Powers were getting in place really rather early, instead... so they were going to set out to capture the thief, of course, at which point I got my invisibility cloak and went hiding in the attic, and then stuffed the jewels away in my trunk, because noone would think to look there.

And then I woke up.

Anyone feeling like they want to analyse this dream are welcome to. Bwahaha.

Also, if this turns out to be anything at all like the plot of book 7, I'm totally going to call myself psychic. So there.

I had a dream last night. It involved having to flee by swimming, while being chased by some girls in a rubber boat, and accompanied by a man in drag. Uh. It started out kind of scary, but later on I was just enjoying the swim, because I did so well.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm trying to compile the logs for my and X's numerous games, but I'm not working too quickly. Still, if anyone is interested, they can be found here.

I think I'm vaguely bored, seeing as I'm looking through my favourites for all the online games I used to play (anyone remember nationstates?)... or maybe I'm just lazy. Anyway, I've been doing pretty well in school lately, yay me.

I was going to try to think of something worthwhile to say, but apparantly I can't. Oh well, you'll all have to just live with my ramblings.

Since people have been asking (well, actually nobody has, but I like to pretend people care), my new avatar is "Gaya" written in hiragana, one of the japanese syllabaries. Because I'm cool like that. I could've written "Karin" (that would've been 3 signs, as n is the only consonant able to stand on its own in the japanese language), but I thought it was more fun to use my nickname. Then again, they don't really have any th-sounds (not that we do in Sweden either - nor do we have w. It's so much fun to explain to people about my nickname ("Did you say Gaiahitven?"). ), so I decided to settle for the short version anyway.

Not much happening around here. Well, apart from me getting a domain of my own, but the main page doesn't really have anything on it (if anyone wonders, I got the awesome layout from Phrim's page, though). My doll site is up, though - but so far it's quite basic. Do have a look around, though, if you want.

Bonz got me to start playing Pokemon Crater, which is a pretty nifty online pokemon game. Not as cool as the gameboy games, but pretty neat anyway. I have 40+ pokemon so far, and at least five of them are over level 25.

Anyway, that's about it, really. Until next time.

(By the way, I think I've gotten over my growing-older-crisis for this year. Yay me.)

I am not turning older. I'm going to be young forever, darnit.

In other words, I'm now a fifth of a century. It's scary.
